We are delighted to announce that Steve Isaacs has joined our commercial team Development Director.Steve is a well-known and passionate supporter of the highway industry and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Over the past 39 years he has developed his career primarily in highway maintenance engineering for both the public and private sector. Steve started to gain a solid technical understanding in local authority highways laboratories starting as a Technician in North Yorkshire and progressing to a Materials Engineer responsible for running the technical department in Wiltshire.In the private sector he has gained a good commercial understanding from his time as Associate Director – Business Development with TRL and Business Development Manager for both ASI and Stirling Lloyd. As Associate Director with TRL, Steve was involved in the business development of the infrastructure department (Asset Management team, Data collection team and the Materials team).Returning to the Public sector Steve worked as a Senior Manager in Surrey County Council and in East Sussex County Council to develop innovative highway maintenance solutions and to deliver them profitable business models. Along the way Steve has also managed asphalt production units for the private sector and a Quality Management division for an international aggregate company. He has successfully identified and won contracts across the UK and in over 25 Countries across the world, including Africa, the Middle East, China and South America.The combination of his experience at a senior level in both the public and private sectors provides PTS with a wealth of knowledge and understanding relatively unique in our industry.
