We are proud to announce that, following the successful completion of the 2025 PAS2161 trials commissioned by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom and led by TRL, we have officially achieved “Demonstrated” status for both our automated condition surveys and manual AEI inspections.
This milestone marks a major step forward in our ability to deliver PAS2161-compliant condition category data for national reporting. Leveraging our fleet of automated survey vehicles, we can now provide both PAS2161 and SCANNER-accredited condition data from a single platform — offering Local Authorities more flexibility than ever before.
In addition, our visual inspection teams are fully equipped to deliver PAS2161 categories through AEI surveys. XAIS-PTS are unique, as the only provider to secure PAS2161 demonstrated status for data collected from engineers' inspections. This will give XAIS-PTS' clients a choice of data sources tailored to their preferred survey methods. The result? A more integrated, powerful toolkit for asset management and decision-making.
