Harry Adams
General Manager
Harry Adams
General Manager
As General Manager at XAIS-PTS, I oversee all engineering teams within the business, providing leadership, technical support, and strategic direction. My responsibilities include managing budgets and project planning, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations.
I joined XAIS-PTS eight years ago as a Site Supervisor while completing my degree in Pavement and Asphalt Science. In this role, I was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all site works. Following the completion of my degree, I transitioned into the Pavement Engineering team, specialising in the analysis of Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) data. I later became the FWD Team Leader, managing both the technical and operational aspects of our pavement evaluation projects. During this time, I also pursued a Civil Engineering degree, where I successfully graduated in June 2025. Shortly after, I was given the opportunity to step in to my current role as General Manager.
XAIS-PTS have played a key role in my professional development – from funding both of my degrees to supporting my growth and encouraging innovation within my work. I value the company’s culture of collaboration, trust, and commitment to excellence, as well as the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and forward-thinking team. I’m excited about the continued growth and development of XAIS-PTS. My goal is to further strengthen our position as industry leaders through innovation, technical excellence, and continued investment in our employees.
Throughout my journey, I’ve faced challenges that have helped shape my professional and personal growth – from balancing study commitments with work responsibilities, to taking on new leadership roles. XAIS-PTS has consistently provided the support, guidance, and resources needed to overcome these challenges, reinforcing my confidence and drive to succeed within the company.

Performance & Productivity Manager
Rachel Greenwood
Performance & Productivity Manager
I joined XAIS-PTS back in 2021 as PA to the Chief Commercial Officer, where I supported senior leadership and helped improve the way we managed information and internal processes. From there, I moved into a Finance Manager role in 2023, taking on more responsibility for our financial operations, reporting, and supplier management.
In May 2024, I was promoted to Performance & Productivity Manager which has been a really exciting step in my career. My role focuses on analysing how the business is performing, identifying where we can be more efficient, and rolling out improvements that make a real difference to our projects and people. I also work closely with our senior team to provide insights and recommendations that support key business decisions.
What I love most about XAIS-PTS is the supportive, forward-thinking culture. There’s always room to grow, take on new challenges, and make a genuine impact and that’s something I really value.
Of course there have been challenges along the way, especially adapting to new systems and changes, along with transitioning into management during a period of rapid company growth. However, the support I receive from colleagues across all departments, along with the mentorship provided by senior leaders has been instrumental in turning those challenges into opportunities for learning and growth. The encouragement I get from all in the company has made it very easy to stay motivated, build confidence, gain more experience in different aspects of the business, and keep pushing for improvement.
Looking ahead, I’m keen to keep developing our performance frameworks and continue contributing to the company’s growth and success in any way I can.

Senior Asset Performance Modeller
Leonardo Rodrigues
Senior Asset Performance Modeller
I joined XAIS-PTS in March 2022 through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Nottingham, where I developed stochastic Petri-Net models to simulate asset condition and intervention strategies. The work focused on drainage assets such as gullies and was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Innovate UK, marking an excellent transition from academic research to practical implementation.
XAIS-PTS provided me with the ideal environment to move smoothly from academia to industry — giving me the trust, support, and tools needed to deliver meaningful results from day one. I now work as part of the Technology Team, developing data-driven solutions that help clients plan maintenance and investment strategies more effectively.
Alongside deterioration modelling, I’m currently involved in several projects exploring the use of machine learning and AI to improve defect detection and decision-making. This aligns closely with my passion for applying advanced analytics to real-world engineering challenges.
I hold a PhD in Civil Engineering and continue to expand my expertise in Data Science through further studies at the University of Cambridge, enabling me to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in our field.
Looking ahead, I’m keen to contribute to projects that expand XAIS-PTS’s capabilities internationally — developing tools that support more innovative asset management not only in the UK but on a global scale.
Kayleigh Egglestone
Pavement Engineer
Kayleigh Egglestone
Pavement Engineer
I currently work as a Pavement Engineer, leading the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) team. I joined the company four years ago as a Graduate Civil Engineer, and since then I’ve progressed through roles with increasing responsibility — from supporting operations teams to liaising directly with clients to ensure the highest standards of integrity from project initiation through to delivery. In my current role, I oversee the collection and analysis of FWD data, applying technical judgement to each unique test location to interpret what the calculated results infer about pavement quality, durability, and long-term performance.
I most enjoy the ability to apply theoretical concepts to real life scenarios. No two projects are identical and therefore, it encourages me to keep my technical knowledge up to date. Where relevant standards, materials and testing methods are continuously evolving – this is essential. I also really value the collaborative culture here; everyone is willing to share knowledge – the ability to challenge old and new ideas across FWD pavement analysis has been paramount in developing my current understanding of associated concepts.
Looking ahead, I’m keen to continue developing my technical expertise and utilise the wealth of knowledge I have surrounding me within the work environment. I’m particularly passionate about mentoring women in engineering and helping to create pathways for more female engineers to thrive in technical and leadership roles. I’d love to continue to promote diversity, encourage career development, and build a stronger, more inclusive engineering community within the company.
One challenge I’ve faced has been balancing multiple complex projects and transitioning from analysis to project management responsibilities. However, XAIS-PTS has been very supportive — providing access to training and mentoring from experienced engineers. That support has made it easier to overcome challenges, build confidence, and continue progressing in my career.
Steve Brammer
Senior Pavement Engineer
Steve Brammer
Senior Pavement Engineer
I joined XAIS-PTS in 2009 following the completion of my MEng Civil and Structural Engineering degree, which I undertook at the University of Liverpool. Being part of the growth and development of the company has allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of pavement engineering, encompassing experience in laboratory, site and office-based roles; from surveying and testing, managing teams of engineers and technicians, to developing novel approaches and bringing new technology and ideas to pavement analysis and design. This range of experience was a key element in my successful Chartership application (CEng), which I completed in 2018.
I am passionate about using new technology alongside fundamental engineering principles to drive improvement and help deliver better results for our clients. I am pleased that this is shared across the company, with consistent investment in new technology - for example industry leading 3D GPR, state of the art LCMS2 laser scanners, and new SCRIM vehicles – allowing us to stay at the forefront of pavement engineering developments.
Throughout my career I have been encouraged to take on new challenges, from developing new test procedures and processes, to taking on expert witness work, leading innovation projects, and presenting at industry events.
I am fortunate to have worked, and work with, extremely experienced engineers and have found their mentorship and shared experience invaluable. I aim to pass this on and share my knowledge as much as possible within our engineering team. I am pleased this mentality is reflected within the company with the funding of degrees, industry memberships and continuous training.
Lisa Barton
Infrastructure Technician
Lisa Barton
Infrastructure Technician
I joined XAIS-PTS in 2019 as an Infrastructure Technician, and since then I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of projects that have strengthened my technical and operational experience. In 2021, I was seconded to the Highways Department at Nottingham City Council, and I currently provide asset management support to the Head of Highway and Maintenance.
As part of my secondment, I am often the first point of contact between XAIS-PTS and the NCC Highways Department, ensuring the authority’s needs and projects are delivered smoothly and on time. I have worked on various projects with NCC over the last few years, drainage, structures, public rights of way, and grass verge trials are just a few to mention.
This year, I have been supporting NCC more closely with their Streets for People schemes, the launch and ongoing management of their interactive highways planned maintenance mapping tool available through the Transport Nottingham website, and work on the authority's resilient network. The interactive highways planned maintenance map allows residents and members of the public to access information on over 200 schemes across the city, and I ensure it is regularly updated so the public remain informed about past, live, and future highway and pavement improvement works.
Working at XAIS-PTS has given me the chance to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. I value the variety of my work, the problem-solving involved in infrastructure projects, and the collaborative relationships I’ve developed across both the company and the local authority.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue developing my expertise, take on new challenges, and contribute to the ongoing success of XAIS-PTS and the services we deliver to Nottingham and other authorities.
